Track and Field

Led by Coach Stephon Pamilton, our track and field program dedicates our focus to high performance and higher execution. Understanding the basics of our movements, our balance between power, speed and endurance and maintaining control physically and mentally are the foundations of our teams’ philosophy. We meet our challenges through setting goals and exceeding the expectations.

The Skyline South Phoenix Track and Field team represents the strength of collaboration and the spirit of competition. From sprinting and long-distance running to jumping and throwing events, our team showcases a wide range of athletic abilities and a shared commitment to hard work and growth.

Track and Field here is about more than just personal records and podium finishes—it’s a program focused on developing discipline, endurance, and mental resilience. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, athletes follow structured training plans that build strength, improve technique, and sharpen competitive focus. Each practice is designed not only to improve athletic performance but also to cultivate a strong sense of teamwork, accountability, and perseverance.

Student-athletes compete in meets through the Charter Athletic Association (CAA) and other regional events, providing them with the opportunity to test their skills against a wide field of competitors. These meets foster healthy competition and serve as valuable learning experiences, whether athletes are new to the sport or seasoned veterans aiming for championship-level performance. Every meet is a chance to grow, represent their schools with pride, and support one another in the pursuit of excellence.

Together, we are building a Track and Field culture rooted in effort, determination, and character. The program gives students the tools they need to succeed in athletics while also reinforcing important life lessons—like pushing through challenges, striving for continuous improvement, and lifting others up along the way. Whether they're crossing the finish line first or achieving a new personal best, our athletes are building a legacy of resilience and pride that will carry them far beyond the track.
